Phenomenal book! You don’t have to be a scuba diver to fully enjoy this phenomenal book. If you are a scuba diver, this book is a must have for your shelves. It’s filled with crisp, clear photos of amazing diver destinations. The stunning photography highlights some of the most spectacular dives in the world and details what you are likely to see there. I call it the Scuba Divers “bucket list” book. A wonderful taste of the underwater world and the amazing creatures that live there. This book will do more than wet your appetite for underwater exploration, your senses will devour this book. It has a fantastic foreword by experienced diver Brian Skerry. The maps and descriptions reveal great dive destinations for beginners, intermediate, advanced and all levels dives. My favorite is the description of the underwater sculptures in Mexico. Yes, there is an underwater museum ‘Afuera’ in Mexico with life size sculptures. There are specifics about each of the dives. Average water temps, depths, the type of visibility you can expect, difficulty of dive etc. You’ll have good details to plan your next dive whether it’s shipwreck exploration to critter sight seeing, or even shark viewing.wow What an awesome book showing photos and giving descriptions of some of the greatest diving experiences in the world. If you are not already a diver, after seeing this book you might want to take up this fascinating sport! Great for your coffeetable or as a gift!Fun Trip with Okay Photography The best thing about this book is the fun write ups about historical sites around the world, allowing a casual exploration in short bursts. That writing and chapter style is perfect for a coffee table or waiting room book. Unfortunately, the photography (or perhaps print quality) is just not very good. Many photos are not in focus, giving a soft look, and there are also many that look like they've been blown up from a low resolution. With a photography book, I expect much better. Perhaps even with some phone photography, this book unfortunately feels phoned in.
